Hiding from other demons was an easy task ... being able to feel the aura of another demon allowed for her to make sure that she was gone before they arrived ... hiding from slayers, however, was another task altogether. Only by the grace of whatever higher being was out there allowed Aubrey to avoid them up until this point... or perhaps it was because she had never killed another human that allowed for her to fly under the radar. whatever the case may be, she was entirely unaware that it was going to change, starting today. 

Walking around in the middle of the night to check on the various symbols she had painted in discrete places to ensure they were still working to keep the impulse of peace in the village, Aubrey turned a corner ... only to run right into another woman. Letting out a startled cry, Aubrey stumbled back, hands held up with her eyes as wide as can be before she instinctively stepped forward, reaching for the woman that she had ran into.
