We need stricter laws and/or we need better enforcement. We see it all the time. Discarded moms. Discarded fathers. For the sake of profit. If you were buying a puppy in a parking lot or off craigslist… You are part of the problem. Backyard breeders dump the parents when they get “too old.“ they dump the puppies when they don’t sell. They dump the puppies if they have any medical conditions or “defects.“ Do not purchase from illegal, unscrupulous, unethical, breeders. You may tell yourself that you are helping that puppy, but you are only encouraging that breeder to do it again and again and again. How many videos of mine do you have to see with recent moms being “found” as strays or dumped? I saw her come in wearing a sweatshirt and then saw her again a little later without it and could see that she is a mama dog who is experiencing some skin issues. I was happy to see her enjoying some sun in her kennel and she liked the yummy treats I gave her. She is about 5 years old, weighs 49 pounds, and is not currently spayed.
