OKAY! this is gonna be a bit of a doozy so buckle up!
So, first we have the Spirit Coves, said to be where dragons go to reach adolescence and whatnot right? And we know that to be in the First Realm according to "Green and Gold", right?
Well, in my funky dunky lore, the Spirit Coves expands to ALL the realms, and is in all the realms, and also none of the realms, only accessible to spirits and those who wield elements of Creation (such as dragons). The only way a normal person could slip into the Spirit Coves is just that, a slip-up, a mishap, a rift opening up and spitting them into the Spirit Coves.
The Spirit Coves are infamous for their rifts, after all, those same rifts leaked high concentrations of spirit energy into the Never Realm, bonding with animals, and turning them into spirits, which then found their way to humanity, creating Formlings.
Spirits CAN have physical forms, but more often than not they sever themselves from those forms, so as to strengthen their connection to the Spirit Coves. Wojira is an example of a spirit who chose her physical form as her permanent form, thus breaking herself from spiritual ties, making her susceptible to corruption and whatnot. It's FAR harder to corrupt a non-physical spirit, as their spiritual energies are very, very clean.

I LOVED IT AND I LOVED EVERYONE IN IT!!!! Max had the traits of the most hateable character ever and I fucking loved him ! (there were times id look at him and think "are we sure thats not fucking jerma????" I also had certain moments where I thought he was the same guy who played Aladdin in "Twisted" loll)
I loved the Black Lords even if they were barely onscreen, and Pet and Steph were epic !!
