In any event, weāll likely soon have one of those cute combo names for our latest celebrity power couple: Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez. The former Yankees slugger and the singer/actress are officially an item, according to several gossip websites Wednesday.

The New York Postās Page Six team offered these quotesĀ from a source:Ā āThey have been seeing each other for a few months ā and were together in L.A. this past weekend. ā¦ They are really into each other because they have so much in common ā from their Latin roots to their love of New York and their kids.ā
Lopez has 9-year-old twins from a marriage to singerĀ Marc Anthony that ended in 2014. Rodriguez has children ages 12 and 8 with his ex-wife,Ā Cynthia Scurtis.
LoveBScott.com reported that a source had this to say about the couple: āHe was with her in Vegas during this latest leg of her Planet Hollywood Vegas show. They were all coupled up behind the scenes, not public, but absolutely not hiding their relationship around close friends and family. It is definitely for real.ā
That source also told the website that Rodriguez and Lopez have been āquietly dating for a couple months,ā after Lopez broke things off with Drake. Rodriguez, meanwhile, had most recently beenĀ dating Anne Wojcicki, theĀ CEO of a genetic testing firm and ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin.
In the past, the 41-year-old Rodriguez has been linked to such high-profile women asĀ Madonna, Cameron Diaz and Kate Hudson. The three-time American League MVP, fourth all-time in home runs withĀ 696, played his final game in August and has joined Fox Sports as a full-time MLB analyst. An Instagram post he shared Wednesday about his Fox Sports gig was liked by Lopez.

A Fox Sports executive offered Sports Illustratedās Richard Deitsch a glowing report of Rodriguezās dedication to his new craft, saying, āHe is a true baseball nerd. I think he gets a certain fix doing this. ā¦ Heās invested. If we have a noon meeting, heās there at 11:30 a.m. Heās emailing story ideas in the morning. He wants to research. Heās almost all-in to the point where itās annoying.ā
It remains to be seen what becomes of āJ-Rodā (weāll go with that for now), but this is nothing new for Lopez, whoseĀ ill-fated engagement to Ben Affleck in the early 2000s gave rise to the nickname āBennifer,ā which sparked the trend of combining celebrity couplesā names.
