First one is one I was talking about with @danananab Making one of my rooks an Elven God. Honestly dunno where I’m going with it but I chose Yevven for it. And a lot of flowery symbolism. Idea That if he became a blighted god would symbolize corruption and the reverse being purity. But all are ideas. And drawing- outfits and anatomy is still my biggest challenge but I’m- learning

Mavros wondered if Grey was just talking about the his travels or if this was a metaphor for something. Old guys and their wisdom. “Thanks grey. It was a fun time. I’ll make sure to spend some time later.” He waved before returning to the Eluvian the way he came.

Lucas Laidir-Hawke

You guys already saw Lucas but just to put them all on one post.

Lucas is my FenHawke baby. Born inbetween the 4 year gap in dragon age 2. He’s not actually angry. He’s just confused 90% of the time, the other 10 percent is just punchy. Very easily offended. He’s afraid of heights and allergic to nuts. Which is hilarious because he will never talk about it till it’s too late

Baishan Cantori

Baishan Cantori, he may look playboy ish. But he’s not I promise. He’s actually super sweet lover boy. And OCD is taking over his life just a little bit. But he’s doing better! He’s got a nice partner to keep him occupier.

Baishan owns a book shop which also is an armory for crows and other friends tho goes charging way too much for it.

Merit Thorne

Merit is probably my most normal rook. He’s definitely the rook in my universe. He’s just some guy who got caught for crimes put into the wardens and unfortunately became the leader of a team. Hes not built for it but at the same time he is (Redraw later cause im not too satisfied) .

Malefic Galba

My lil villain. Truly, he’s so interesting to me.

On his forehead he has what seemed like the symbol for tranquil however it was a dash through it. More to come on that later. He’s honestly not bad, he’s actually hilarious and for the most part helps people who interest him. Until he goes down the rabbit whole of wanting to steal peoples powers and all that good stuff. But he’s funny! That’s what matters

Scarlet De Riva

And just like that I’ll never be able to make another masterpiece again. Zen said she got her hands on the butcher here and I fear zen is right.

Scarlet the unofficial de riva! Honestly she wasn’t suppose to live this long. But then she got entangled with Rinaldo and somehow kinda got her redemption. She is my favorite child. Her unhinged, obsesssive, smug behavior will always be my favorite.

I actually just started picking up art this past December just working on portraits really. And a friend of mine @tevintergallus had mentioned a fun tip about their character so I got real inspired by this and drew something very silly for them. My Rook Calico offering their hair to @tevintergallus’s rook. So here’s the in the progress work and all of its messy layers. Incredibly shy about this. I’ve posted very very little about my art. But this looked really fun and gotta be bold! I’m bold today!

I’ll tell ya, hair is the bane of my existence but this made me really happy just getting to see our rooks so goofy together. And the layers on layers because I’m definitely pretty afraid of messing it up especially the hair. I have at least 4 layers of hair on there just because I kept not liking it.

Looking at it this way kind of feels very third person if that makes sense? Like I can see features I want to touch on. Their noses is definitely one, the head shape I want to define more. Clothing details I’d love to work more on that. Brainstorming how to really show the details of their skin as well. Rushing back to my sketch as we speak.

Ponytail: I don’t think he’d mind though I see it more so being like a rat tail then a pony tail.

Pigtails: Yeah. This. This made him mad.

Buns: He’s over me playing Barbie with him. He does not feel Bonita.

Braids: I mean I think it’s cute. Lucas nearly stabbed me.

Bowl Cut: Just a nice clean cut. UGH. I hate it.

BALD: He reminded me of the baby Sun from the Telly tubbies.

Long: I think he could rock it.

First Up Mori! I made my first attempt back in December and I really appreciate being able to draw Mori again because i definitely got to see the difference in my art between the two.

And then Ambrose! First time drawing them! And tattoos are a struggle! For all the rooks I’ve been drawing! But I’m super proud especially when it comes to the coloring. I get so nervous with coloring but I’m proud. And another shoutout to @knowlsey because I couldn’t not make the other eye for the life of me, taught me how to use lasso. 🙏
