he has lots of bad ending scenarios with atticus which would definitely take the cake
aside from that it might be the mainverse scenario of what he had with gwyneth if she doesnt come back
bc if he feels like he really cared for her and shes gone then its, on top of losing her, a sense that any affection he felt for her was misplaced. leaves him even more guarded and closed off
as far as non romantic relationships his friendship with tektus is possibly the worst mainverse one. richter does his dirty work and in exchange all he gets are promises of atoms approval and any guilt those promises still dont cover up ( well he also gets the rank of grand zealot but hes not a power hungry man so... wait actually the full suit of armor and his own room sorta make up for it– but im trying to say i dont see tektus valuing him as another human being as much as a tool for achieving his ends )
