@a-dragons-journal I’m 50 posts down and I’m pretty sure at least 40 are discussions. :’D Queue is currently set to 30 posts a day and anon’s back on, I’ll adjust my queue when I know how many posts I’m handling for sure sure, since my likes also include fandom content which doesn’t go here. :p
I want my notifications to be blown to hell when I get back from class, which I leave for in about three hours. I will get nothing else done tonight, and that’s a good thing if all goes well!
1, 6, 11? ~@a-dragons-journal
1. What shifts are most common for you? Mental, phantom/astral, sensory, dream?
I’m always in some form of mental shift which switches from kintype to kintype (to cameo sometimes). My default state is a Zonic shift which I guess could count as not a shift due to it being my default state, but I count it anyway as it counts as nonhuman.
I commonly have partial phantom shifts, sometimes progressing into full-body shifts. Mainly I get ears and a tail, though with my Angel Dust kintype I usually get an extra set of arms.
6. Do you avoid reflective surfaces in shifts? Does seeing your appearance snap you out of it? On that note, ever think of getting any “gear” to resemble your kintype more? Contacts, fake fangs, certain clothing, etc.?
I avoid mirrors and such all the time. I don’t like looking at this body for a few reasons, the main one being gender dysphoria, but species dysphoria definitely plays a role in that as well.
I’ve always wanted a pair of fake fangs or something similar. I also wear clothes that resemble what I used to wear in life depending on my shifts.
11. Do shifts have an effect on the way you carry yourself? Posture? Tone/volume of voice? Diction in words?
Shifts affect my voice a lot, depending on how deep in a shift I’m in. During very deep Zonic shifts, my accent changes to something else (not sure what it is) and my voice gets higher pitched and more nasally. In a Shadow shift, my voice lowers and gets a little... raspier?
