“My heart says get another house plant but my wallet says no...” Aruem mused quietly to herself with a small pout as she stood in front a display of fresh planted bamboo.

Seeing the world in black and white was the normal for Areum, learning how to adapt to a technicolor world at a young age. She didn’t remember too much of her parents but she remembered some things; the warmth of her mothers arms as she was being rocked to sleep and the smell of her fathers cologne. There was part of her that couldn’t help but wonder what would have happened if they were still here or if she didn’t go to pre-k that day.
Her face scrunched up as she tapped her pencil against the blank page of her sketch book, sipping a bit of her coffee and relaxed back. The female hummed to herself as her eyes scanned the cafe. “C’mon Areum.. think of something to draw or something new for your students to learn. Think. Think.” She mused to herself as she dropped the pencil and pressed her finger against the middle of her forehead and closed her eyes.

“Ah! There it is...” Areum mused as she knelt down, picking a CD up from the bottom shelf and examined it extensively. One of the downsides to being colorblind is not being able to distinguish different versions of CDs from groups very easily unless they had a number on the binding or a symbol to distinguish which copy was which. “I don’t think I have this one? It doesn’t look as shiny as the other versions I have.”
She scratched her head and turned it over to read through the tracks, quietly singing to herself a line or two from each song before moving onto the next. “Maybe I could ask someone? Maybe I can find another monbebe to help me out.”
