Not that this matters to anyone but maybe me and my roomie (mostly just me honestly), but for some reason Tuesday night I was all, "let's watch Mystery Spot" which then turned into "let's just rewatch Supernatural" and so I turned on the pilot on Netflix. And you know what?
Those motherfuckers changed some music. It's been legit YEARS since I've seen the pilot but I've seen it enough to know that when Dean grabs the Metallica cassette tape it motherfucking plays AC/DC. Something my friends and I have made fun of for years. Iconic.
So when this new non-AC/DC track starts playing I look to my roomie and both of us are all WTF???? Because at this point I'm really pretty sure that is wrong. The kind of wrong you feel in your bones. Dramatic? Probably. But, This. Fucking. Matters. So I legit go and grab my season 1 Supernatural, pop in the first disc, select the scene to see if really this was all a lie I'd made up in my head for some unknown reason.
You know what happened? I WAS PROVEN RIGHT. For some unknown God forsaken reason Netflix had decided to change the song and I am not here for it. Do I remember what the new song that plays is? No. I just know it's not AC/DC and it wasn't even Metallica (if the subtitles weren't lying). Like, if you're going to change it, change it to the band it was supposed to be! I was gonna check and see if Prime and Hulu did it as well, but I'd have to pay for it and honestly, I am too cheap for that and willing to settle for being only offended by Netflix.
(Also, sidenote, bro could easily not put the right cassettes back into the cases. I did that all the time with my CDs and, yeah it was annoying, but it happens. ...and I am off on another tangent that has nothing to do with what I started out with.)
TLDR: I got severely offended that Netflix changed a song in the Supernatural pilot.
