If Scott had been paying closer attention, he probably would've seen it coming. Then again, maybe he hadn't wanted to see the signs. Not to mention, there hadn't been time to deal with it while they dealt with the Darach. There was no denying it after that night though, they had a connection. One made obvious by Deaton the night they reignited the Nemeton. Scott had said it was okay though, told himself that in the weeks after as well. He'd been saying that a lot to himself, like a mantra.Â
It was okay, everything was okay, he was okay.Â
It didn't feel like it though and neither did he. After all, he'd thrown Isaac into a wall, twice. He also hadn't talked to Allison, really talked to her since she came back. There never seemed to be a right time, they’d planned on it, but kept getting interrupted and it was placed on the back burner. Maybe it’d been more than that though because he’d been afraid of what she'd say, to tell him to stop waiting.
Be your own anchor. You fall in love more than once.Â
Both were things his mother had told him and he wanted to believe her, but he also wanted to deny the latter, like how he denied there being other girls besides her. That seemed like a very long time ago now, no longer the optimistic young lovestruck boy for the first time. There was a darkness around his heart now, always would be, but despite that, a new new girl came to his mind. But the image vanished as quickly as it came.Â
Before that could really go anywhere, he needed to talk to them. He'd invited the whole pack over to watch movies and hang out, a small celebration. They'd saved Malia and while he knew they would still have problems dealing with the repercussions of dying, Stiles, Allison, and himself had made a little progress that day. He figured they deserved a nice night in, so it wasn't until after a few movies and several pizzas later that he confronted the two members of the pack he’d been somewhat avoiding  in the kitchen.Â
"I think we might need to talk," he said, arms folding across his chest as he glanced between Allison and Isaac.
