Juliet managed to outrun the cat-sized monsters. For some reason, they were more frightening than their taller, bigger siblings from the eighth sector, only because they were actively chasing her, as they have all day. Still, they lost her track, so Juliet had an entire minute to catch her breath, not even concerned about other tributes anymore. After bumping into the boy from District One, possibly one of the most promising murderers in the arena, everything seemed lighter.
At the sight of Marino, she ran towards her even breathless, despite their conversation ending on an odd note, one that hinted towards how he could swear he wouldn’t kill her in a million years, but it didn’t grant anything once they got inside the arena. Juliet wasn’t so skeptical now. “I’m guessing you don’t have a spare slurpee...” she shouted as she was walking his way.
