Even after losing her children the psychological abuse of Jovona Barrow continues. The following statement was posted on her personal Facebook Page: “I don’t know what I should address first. Should I start with the rumors surrounding how me and Cori met? Should I say whether I was sedated in hospital and under suicide watch? Or should I address the video where a gentleman spoke so eloquently on men’s rights about a day after I lost my children in a fire? Or should I defend my character, since it has been under fire? I guess I will do all that in time, but here is what I will say in this post…My ability to grieve has been stripped from me, the same way my children were- abruptly and without reason. On July 22nd, 2019 I went to court to secure access to our children, after my husband (as there was no divorce or legal separation); restricted my access to Rio and Reya. An interim order was made, Cori would have the children 3 days and I would have them from Thursday evening to Sunday evening. My birthday was the subsequent day, July 23rd, I turned 21. I went to work happy because I knew I would be seeing my babies. I would get to hold them and go to church with them. And wash their hair again. I would get to hug them whenever I want, kiss them and fix their clothes as I usually did. Plait their hair. Watch tv with them. I would get to be with my children again, after enduring nearly 2 months of Cori withholding them from me. On July 24th, 2019, I was about to give a tour when the police called me and told me to come to the apartment, #93B. My husband kicked me out of the house on May 10th, something he always did when I wasn’t ‘conforming’. I would beg to come back because I missed my children and wanted a family. We all know what happened on the 24th July 2019. I lost my family. After their passing, I was left to endure his mother. Originally, I said she could have Cori’s body…but I couldn’t give him away.
