#9005 headlight

Installed these (9005 LED Headlight bulb) in the High Beams of my 99 Yukon last night with a 4HI harness(this leaves the low beams on when the high beams are turned on) The instant on is a nice change from waiting for my HIDs to warm up. Turns night in to day and super easy to install. Wish I have bought them last year and might replace the HIDs in my lows with the 9006 version. NOTE: the space behind the headlight housings is tight, but these will fit in the HI beams on the OBS (90-99, Silverado/Tahoe/Suburban) just take your time and route the wiring harnesses to either the side or below the housing and you'll be fine.

WOW.. what a difference. After fourteen years, I got used to my headlights being cloudy and dingy halogen bulbs - even after Wipe New treatments and sandpaper / polishing. I bought new headlight housings and these 9005 LED bulbs. They made a HUGE difference. I'm just mad I didn't make the switch sooner. I can see so much better at night and I feel safer too. The bulbs ignite quickly and give off the type of crisp white light found in newer cars. On my 2004 GMC Envoy, I had to cut holes in the rubber dust caps so the bulb's fans could breathe.. Other than that, installation was a breeze. Highly recommended!

Obligatory 5 star review. I purchased the 9006 led and 9005 led for my lows and highs respectively. In addition, I bought a set of their fog-lights. Have no clue what the difference between the two is as they're almost identical, although that packaging is clearly marked so you can install the correct ones. There is a removable cap on the top of the bulb for projector housings making them as bright as possible. Completely plug and play just as advertised. I thought I would have to mount the harness or something, but the clasps are very heavy-duty and I didn't see any reason to waste my time in that practice. These 9005 headlights are amazing and much brighter than I was expecting. I get the feeling like I'm in an offroad vehicle, even with just low beams on. I'm able to see their reflection on passing cars and signs, even in broad daylight. Not only is this a huge upgrade in cool-factor, these help a ton with visibility both from you as the driver, and to other drivers on the road. I commute a lot through heavy rain and these lights are sure to aid my travels and ensure I get to my destination in one piece. This is coming from stock halogens on my Accord 2012 EX-L. If you're upgrading brights on a similar model, it's a real pain, but worth it imo. (Low beams are easy to replace, for whatever reason, Honda made sure the driver's side high beam was as difficult as possible to swap out idk why).

Holy moly! Put in the brights of my 2008 Subaru Impreza. Craziest bright white light I have ever seen. In rural black night, it feels like daylight with these on. Best brights I have ever seen! Much safer when looking for deer, etc. only downside is they turn on with my day time running lights in that position and with my lights in off position. Can only turn off lights completely when in park. Didnt want to mess with relays and wiring, so just leave my lights on all day. Will switch out my low beams to these next time my xenons burn out. They have the focused housing for those, so wont blind drivers (but may require a slight mod). These are so bright with beautiful white light. Absolutely love them and highly recommend this 9005 LED BULB !!!

I purchased these in June of 2016 for my Integra. Figured LED was the way to go for dual headlights, and no warm up time of course. Not to mention the bright, white light. So I made the jump and ordered them. All I can say is these are one of the best purchases for my vehicle. The color temperature is just right so as to not have any color tint. I am impressed at how well I can see with my high beams on in comparison to just my HID lights on my low beams. The visibility is amazing. They fit well despite being aftermarket in an OEM housing. Easy to install and you don't need to mess with polarity like HID kids. About a week ago I had noticed my drivers side high beam was out and not working at all. I tuck my ballasts to keep them cooler and away from engine heat. However, it wouldn't turn on. I contacted the seller and asked about the warranty. No questions asked, they sent me a new bulb with wiring and no questions asked other than my current mailing address. It just arrived and I am THRILLED. Not only is this a great product, but the company stands behind what they manufacture as well. As someone who works in customer service, I couldn't be happier. I will definitely purchase another set of these for my low beams when I retrofit to halo eyes. Great product, Opt7, and thank you for standing behind your product.

Installation into a 2002 Miata. 9005 LED 6000K. Ok these things are bright, very bright. The installation is straight forward and fast. Less than 15 minutes including fastening harness additions to keep wires from moving around a lot. So on to the meat and potatoes. As it is said they are bright but in the Miata installation there is a lot of lost, misdirected light. This has to do to LED orientation in the PARA housing. The LED's are installed in a vertical orientation (LED's pointing up and down). This causes a lot of lost scatter upwards from the stock lighting fixture reflector. In a untrained assessment to this I would say at least 30% of the light is lost to this issue. The low height fixture would better suited to a horizontal LED orientation (LED's pointing side to side) to properly utilize the PARA reflector to maximize the utilization of the emitted light. I see less of a problem in a projector or lensed installation. The lenses in a projector installation should correct this issue for the most part. Would I buy them again? Yes but only under careful consideration of the fixture and the orientation of the installed assembly. Look at the original bulb installation if it is for a PARA fixture. If the plug for the bulb is oriented "Down or up" it should be OK. If the plug is horizontal then there might be some reflection issues with your installation. *****Update***** Removed the lights and inspected. The white plastic ring at the base of the seal area does indeed come off with two small screws. Removed them and re-drilled the plastic rings (drill and countersink) 90 degrees from the original holes and re-installed. Tremendous difference!!! I am still only rating a four due to having to modify the parts but with a lil work from OPT7 (slight change to their injection molding dies) they could have an easily adjusted product for many installations.
