#90's comics

I have no coherent comment to make about this one

I have a soft spot for comic book swimsuit specials

They exist for no reason other than to have an excuse to publish pinup images of characters in (often ridiculous) 'sexy' poses while wearing the smallest amont of clothing possible while not getting pulled off the shelves for indecency

Many of these specials pre-date the internet so fill a gap in the market that fandom probably now largely caters to instead

I love the lengths some of them go to to attempt to justify a scene within their established theme - if they bother to have one outside of 'swimwear, beach, and optional (sexy) weaponry'

The Homage Swimsuit Special from 1993 features 34 images of scantily clad women to 10 images of mostly shorts clad men, and the cover lets you know what to expect right from the start

The art varies from fairly standard comic book 'tits, ass and back strain in one easy shot' pics

to a literally white woman (not a vampire) sporting underboob, thigh dagger and an 80 foot wave of hair that Rapunzel would be jealous of (a classic 90's comic book art staple never restricted by gender) waving her crotch about mere inches from her work colleague's head

The chrome clad Void who doesn't wear clothes in the books she regularly appears in is here allowed to be tits out (no female presenting nipples presumably making this ok?) but not 'non existant as far as we're aware' pussy out so is wearing bikini bottoms which then implies that she's choosing to be naked in all of her other appearances?

Are the completely unnecessary bottoms supposed to make this more sexy or could they just not justify portraying her usual Barbie smooth physique in close up? I doubt we'll ever know

This group shot of ladies has it all - tits, ass, and improbably long legs! More superfluous swimwear on Void, women clinging limpet-like to rocks, a bow and arrow aimed at nothing for... reasons? and Voodoo on the far right with glowing pink boobs contrasting strongly with her darker toned skin despite zero sign of sunburn elsewhere.

And to close, I bring you a male character who isn't wearing loose baggy shorts (1 of 2 options in this entire book)

who we're told is wearing a thong, but the only person to know for sure is his teammate in the background planning to sneak up on his ass in a potentially very literal sense

I love 90's comic books, but I can't decide what's worse here

The tits-out battle corset look (straps optional) on these soldiers - not the only time we'll see this being worn

vs whatever is happening with the anatomy here between the gold woman with the unfeasably long torso or whatever is happening with that arm in front of them
