The 90 Fire began on July 12, 2020, near the San Pedro River in Cochise County, southern Arizona.Â
The fire burned more than 200 acres, although it was quickly contained. Fatchance took some great photos of the area a week after the fire, on July 19.Â
These scenes are from late September. The recovery of the area would have been more pronounced if the monsoon had brought more rain. Still, you can see some wildflowers and new growth starting to take hold.
The puny monsoon was followed by a dry winter, but I am interested to watch the desert plants find a way... because they most certainly will.
