The Apt I grew up in (Upstairs) 1990-2004 & my Bestfriend lived directly under us downstairs until 1996 The top 2 pics were the early years of living there & the bottom 4 were after we moved. The playground in the pics is the opposite side of our building it got remodeled in 1998 along with our swimming pool; the pool was way bigger & in an L shape but they made it smaller & shaped like a box. While we lived there it was nicely kept; the bushes, grass & trees were soo pretty & full, it was many different races of families, the maintenance guys drove around on those golf carts, we had a security officer in a booth, it was a nice breeze that came through my window, the mornings were quiet, all of the kids came out to play in the afternoon-8pm by 9pm it got soo peaceful & quiet at night all you heard were the crickets chirping. It was a rare sight to see cats or dogs but every once in a while a stray cat found its way in our complex & I'd tell every one it was mine. I miss how it used to be but now its all run down & ghetto. I’ve been thinking about where I grew up & how I hated being at home but I loved it at the same time because my Aunt even tho she was mean; I didn't have to Want for anything. I was an only child living in a clean beautiful Master Suite Apt 3 bed 2 bath & we had everything! My best memory was being away from home for the summer & coming back to my nice room, cable tv & friends. If they never would’ve let the place get ran down I def would’ve moved back to my hometown Justice Illinois. It was about 30-40min from where I stayed in the City.
