Lakewood is probably my favorite neighborhood in Dallas. Overflowing with green, cycling and jogging trails, nature walks, and tree-arched streets, it brings out the hippie, tree-lover in the best of us (even hough my hippie wasn’t hidden to begin with).
 It’s not exactly a large spot–only one zipcode of 75214–but it offers the Dallas Arboretum, White Rock Lake, and the Inwood theatre, as well as some beautiful historic homes. Since it’s one of the oldest regions in Dallas, Lakewood has TONS of history, which delights my inner nerd to no end. The price tag, however, isn’t so lovely.
These homes range from the  $270′s to $1.5 million. It’s expensive. So although I love it, will often go visit this little verdant haven in the heart of Dallas, I probably will never actually live here. *Sigh*
