#7470 Bell’s 35th Anniversary Expedition Stout Reserve (USA) Big ups the homie @dc_juggernaut in Detroit for this gem! Fun fact - this is the longest brewed imperial stout in the US, first brewed in 1989, so Bell’s did a ramped up batch for their 35th. Coming in at 11.5%, this is an Extra Special Russian Imperial Stout, it pours like midnight with a dark brown head and a chocolatey, liquorice nose, the body is bold and dry, tons of bitter dark chocolate, star anise, caramel, raisins and coffee, it’s intense and layered, super complex with leather and tobacco vibes, wrapping in a sticky, dusty, espresso finish.
