Gab: So, turns out we at least blew up a slig?

Ebb: The whole corridor actually.

Gab: But how did you know about all of that? You have been here all this time.

Ebb: I saw it when I closed my eyes.

665th, whispering: Well, great. First we've been spotted by a sheer accident and almost got shot, now this creep is predicting the future, telling us that we could get blown up with all the security up there. We need a day off.

 Gab: Oh, I love telling this story! It was at one of my solo sorties at a new facility. I planned to scout through the sewers level of the factory to see if there's any security roaming around. And then...

We stumbled across each other in the dark, which startled us both.

665th: That was the final night that did put me on the edge, I had no choice but to run away after what these motherfuckers have done to me and what I did to them. Sneaking past the other sligs that were ready to shred me to pieces, I ended up in the sewers where I dropped my empty gun, thinking nobody else will find me there. And that’s when I bumped into Gab. Realizing that I have nothing to defend myself with, I stood quietly in the shadows, hoping that whoever I bumped into will go away.

Gab: I figured - whoever was there in the darkness - they didn’t wan’t to hurt me, an average slig would just shoot me dead right where I stand. To make sure I actually bumped into somebody and not into some trash I whispered “Hello”. Lucky for me, I heard a quiet “Hi.” back!

665th: “Hey man, I just want to say that I am freindly and not gonna hurt you.” - Gab said to me. “You don’t sound good, are you alright?” - That was the last thing I expected to hear right there, and that very moment. But his words sounded... Genuine? So, I gave it in and told him straight up:

“Not really. I am having a really shitty day and all I wanna do right now is to get the fuck outta here and have my goddamn cig...”

And then, like an idiot, I asked if he has a lighter. Why? because I thought Gab also was a slig who was hiding there too, and him whispering didn’t help either.

Gab: Yes, I did! And I offered it to my new mudokon friend! At least that’s who I thought 665th was - just another poor helpless guy trying to escape the slavery.

We both were mistaking... BADLY.
