#6163 Rorschach Decadence (Mexican Hot Chocolate) (Canada) The second brew in the Decadence series from the lords at Rorschach that I’ve gotten into is their Mexican Hot Chocolate edition, complete with cocoa nibs, cinnamon sticks, ancho and guajillo chill peppers and vanilla beans. Coming in at 7%, it pours jet black with a big tan head and a super chocolatey nose, the body is creamy and smooth, the vanilla and chocolate hits up front, the cinnamon holds down the backbone while the chilies shine in the finish, there’s not much heat to speak of (thank the beer gods) but there’s some nice, subtle earthy, vegetal vibes that sit nicely with the rest of the adjuncts, it’s dry, ending in a chocolatey finish.
