March for DACA & DREAM Act in Nashville.
We marched from Centennial Park to the offices of Sen. Corker and Sen. Alexander and back.
Racial resentment over the county becoming less white does not produce good policy. The Trump administration keeps going down this destructive path. Stripping DACA protections away from 800,000 immigrants who were brought to the US as children, and throwing them in limbo, is cruel and and unnecessarily punitive. It only serves to animate Trump’s dwindling base.
Dreamers don’t hurt the US; they make it better. They enrich it. This is their country. They are us, we are them.
