Iceland 2016 Retrospective - day 4 Our first full day on the Vestmanneayjar island was officially my worst day in Iceland. It had nothing to do with Iceland itself but rather my gear - my shiny new 150-600mm decided to die that day. No autofocus and no image stabilization. I was upset. I was really upset. I was on the verge of ruining the trip for @marta_dsw . So I did the only reasonable thing, I accepted it. It wasn't easy but I told myself I'd be back and the next time I'd have a working lens. In the meantime I'd manually focus as best I could. ...then the puffins spited me. I had hoped to get a great shot of one. It was my no.1 shot on my list to get for the trip. And even with my broken lens I still had hope. But they just stayed out on the water - well after the locals said they'd be back to their dens.
