ferrari can afford to shill 100 mil. lewis and rbr have bad blood cause of 2021 and redbull wouldn't put any driver that wouldnt play second to max. mclaren has a competent and relatively cheaper lineup (lando 20 mil, oscar was dirt cheap for the first 2 years) of two young fast guys they can potentially keep for many years (hence they both got long term contracts), so why risk hamilton who might retire in the next 3 years and is very expensive, plus returning to your old team that you literally left merc for is kinda funny. that only leaves ferrari in the top teams. good for branding cause all the legends/wdcs have driven there and because they're a legacy team they could afford the hamilton contract. win win on both sides from a PR perspective
