Here is a look at the opposite side of the Las Vegas strip. This time I was a little closer and able to fill the frame more. What's interesting is the play between massive structures and bustle and bat nothingness. The sky doesn't suck in this shot either. The sunset was amazing as we came in for landing. In the distance you can see snow falling on the mountains. It was a Walt awesome experience to see the sunset, the snow and the Vegas all in on image. We were slightly early on getting the lights on the Las Vegas Strip to come on during our flight. There are some things I would change in this photo like shooting much tighter next time. I would use the 70-200 2.8 and focus on just getting the center of the strip in the frame. You honestly need to see the raw file and how I was able to bring the sky out in the image. This photo is from the most recent "5 Min Portrait" which you can see now, link in the bio. I was just getting my ear legs when we were flying around the stratosphere on the Las Vegas strip. I love these top down style images. It's very GTA like for anyone who played the game. I love all the lines, it's not easy getting straight lines when everything is moving from the helicopter to the ground to you. But I was very happy with the results, especially in black and white. Taken with the Canon 5D Mark III and the Canon 11-24 f4. Shot raw not cropped.
