#5827 Auval Cuvée Louis (Canada) Today marks 10 years since I left Australia for Canada, so we’re celebrating with the best brewery in the country. I picked this up at the brewery a couple weeks back so I’m excited to get it in me. Coming in at 7%, it’s a Bière de Garde with honey. It pours a hazy burnt orange with a foamy head and a funky, tart nose, the body is crisp and chewy, tangy with some green apple tartness, subtle caramel vibes, complex, tart and smooth, some light oak notes, a touch of honey in the backbone, ending in a dry, dusty, sour finish.
