“Anti BLmatsu” crew learn how to use a block button, mind your own biz and grow up challenge
honestly
Noodles doesn’t even post the stuff on their main so what is the point of all this
just don’t follow the Twitter stop being weirdos with the hate messages
So, it’s time to rock out in some sheer style! Recently got to work with the incredibly awesome @43501 on these commission illustrations featuring OC Dinny, Static, and Angus. Truly a wicked group of characters, it was really something else being able to get these lively and uber charming personalities out there. Serious respect, thank you so much for working on me with these rad characters!
Commission for @43501!
I've been wondering about this for a little while, but your art is extremely cute, that pixel-style Punchy you did recently is especially amazing. Would you happen to do commissions? I had a quick look on both your main and art blog but couldn't see anything like comm info there, sorry if I'm blind and I just missed it!
First of all THANK YOU SO MUCH! it’s makes me glad you know you like my art, and that pixel punchy was especially fun tot work on haha. but no you guessed right i dont do commissions :’>. i would love to do them someday, but for now there’s still some things i need to set up (like my debit card and paypal, which is a slower process than i imagined rip)but BUTT i do have some friends/people i like with really great art who do commissions and im sure theyd appreciate the money more than me so try and check these guys out for cute art + other styles if youre interested~https://maybesartcorp.tumblr.com/post/172726877882/hello-everyone-im-opening-commissions-due-tohttp://sitara200.tumblr.com/post/172321775290/taking-commissionshttps://yupiart.tumblr.com/post/171631835558/new-commissionshttps://yupiart.tumblr.com/post/163754207523/commissions-are-openhttp://gingerweed-man.tumblr.com/post/167612839331/gingerweed-man-keep-readinghttps://squeakyart.tumblr.com/post/165905616063/squeakyysqueakyarts-commissions-payment-usinghttps://just-peachy-tea.tumblr.com/commissionshttp://nidaimeshinigami.tumblr.com/post/163960577614/hi-im-m8-and-im-finally-taking-commissions-paypalhttp://doubutsu-no-mori.tumblr.com/post/160643438970/ac-commissions-10-human-villager-sketch1-colorhttp://art-of-dragonheadskilax.tumblr.com/post/170986135388/art-of-dragonheadskilax-the-old-old-commissionhttps://www.redbubble.com/people/queensachi (aka cinnabeep on tumblr!) not sure if they do commissions but they sell cute stuff on redbubble :>sorry if this looks overwhelming but nothing would make me happier than to commissions these peeps someday

I think season 1 and 2 are of similar quality, but this time around we know these characters so we got to explore new dynamics and dig deeper into some characters which I do like better. Some characters are getting better moments. Plus, we got more screen time with the side character as well. I think it's more fun to see these characters grow now, so I say it's probably just nostalgia blinding people. I like both cours equally.
43501 replied to your post “I have a question for you guys”
Season 1 cour 1 was better, I like s2 regardless I just remember when the show felt like it could go in any direction with the humor and hadn't yet put the Matsus into boxes about what their "roles" are.
chororine replied to your post “I have a question for you guys”
that's a good question; I've kind of experienced the OPPOSITE of the "nostalgia makes it better" phenomenon because I've always liked s1 cour 2 better than s1 cour 1 but wondered if I genuinely feel that way or am just biased towards the episodes I watched as they were coming out/had that thrill of anticipation for. which is an extremely long-winded way to a disappointing answer: I'll have to wait until all four cours (so far) are complete to compare them
Ok yeah, I think for the most part I agree with anon slightly more, but I do feel like the main reason the ‘edge’ feels lost is because we just know these characters way better than we did. People tend to point to 5 Demons for an example of what s2 hasn’t reached yet...
@chororine I can also strongly relate to that since I had catch up with cour 1 and followed cour 2 weekly, therefore getting to ‘anticipate’ the episode in that half more.
I switch back and forth between ‘s2 lost the spark’ and ‘s2 is EXACTLY the same quality’ myself. I’ve also heard this season has actually been better for characters like Oso and Choro (and I agree) so maybe all those twists and turns with characterization will come next year for the other bros.
I followed you because back when you were still eagleman there was a massive poorly substantiated callout post warning people about how dangerous you were, but any "evidence" provided linked to completely innocuous posts and they were super ultra reaching. 9 out of 10 times when I see a callout post I end up going to check out the person and finding out that they're actually really cool and reasonable, they just pissed off a random minor at some point or another.
Yeah pretty much. Callout culture in general is pretty performative (rather than helpful), which is why I usually ignore it
43501 replied to your post: “Maybe my detector for sarcasm or exaggeration is off or something, but...”:
Kind of, yes, though it depends on what metric you're using to measure success/failure. When people talk about "S2 failing" they usually mean the vastly lower BD sales (compared to S1) and also Jp Twitter trends. OsoSan used to trend on Twitter frequently and it doesn't so much anymore. A lot of fanartists/doujin writers moved on to different stuff too.
Ah, see, I don’t really consider that failure - if anything, I was expecting it. Of course the hype died down as it went into a hiatus and new, shiny things came out. It happens to everything. Remember that post that was going around about how modern anime fans don’t remember Haruhi Suzumiya, despite her being everywhere a decade ago? This stuff happens.
But to me, a failure would be if the show was losing money, or getting tons of negative reviews. But that’s not what’s happening, it’s just in the top 10 instead of the top 1 now. But its fans still exist, so I’m not worried. If anything, I’d call the fact that it still has a good number of fans despite not being the hot new property of the week anymore a success.
