1. create a safe environment - make them feel physically and emotionally safe. Remove all distractions and people that may trigger their stress (here you can scoup them up and get them somewhere you know they feel safe)

2. listen without judgment as they need JUST a person to listen to. And no problem solving. You make it worse by adressing the problem

3. if it happens freakently, please encourage treatment

4. the last option i would do when the above didnt work. Try to snap them out of a breakdown. As silly as it sounds, crack them up by the stupidest joke or the most fucked up fact
