Of Ice Skating and Pain - 42donotpanic

Matt and Foggy are invited to join a children's birthday party at the ice rink. There's a lot of pain, overthinking and grief working up to it, but in the end, it's all worth it for the joy in Lilly's laugh.
Panic once again caught the feels square on. The excitement, the fear, the all-encompassing what if's that seem to dominate the desire to just enjoy the occasion. As always, they don't shy away from the reality of disability and chronic pain - that sometimes in order to do something we'll regret avoiding, we have to go into it knowing that it's going to make us suffer after. Sometimes that fear wins.
But not always.
This was so beautiful and heartbreaking and uplifting. Thank you for sharing.
