So the first of the 40 books that I picked up today was The Giver. Unfortunately my middle grader snatched it out of my hands before I could get the cover opened. But the sweetheart that she is...she made sure I hadn't started reading it yet. I'll let you know when (or dare I say IF) she gives it back. Things have a tendency to get swallowed up by the black hole that is her backpack and her desk at school. Wish me better luck next time! -L
