Mini Update!
I'm gonna be a bit quiet while I'm overhauling the outline, so I thought I'd share some of what I'm listening to while I do.
I've been talking to my therapist about this (which she adores!! so exciting) and it's helped a lot! I'm officially gonna make the first, og heist into one book! It's the best way to tell the story, without the pressure of worrying about fitting everything in after. It admittedly won't be super long, but my brain likes the idea a lot.
Everything after that will ideally be one book, but from the sheer content of all the individual RO story routes, dating and poly dating aside, means it may likely end up as multiple. We'll see where it goes!
I'm open to hearing feedback from you guys about this! I always enjoy hearing what aspects people like and what they'd like to see different! :)
Welcome back! Since the heist will be the prologue now does that mean the stuff in the current demo won’t be in the rewrite?
everything in the demo is part of the prologue! the first heist is bringing the gang together via MC's theft of the data. MC is only one person, after all. Signal, Charon, and Cerberus have been working on the same thing, so MC ends up unknowingly helping them, and they pay the favor back :)
After the first heist, the game will ideally split into individual character routes, exploring the ROs lives and histories, and with a focus on social issues each is passionate about

oddly enough, not really? i've put together playlists for some of my other projects, but i've never really had characters come to mind while listening to music
What’s your favorite thing about the crew as their creator & writer?
they all come from very different socioeconomic backgrounds!
I wanted to make sure the game showed that it's not just the people being effected by planned obsolescence that are prepared to do something about it, but an acknowledged societal issue
I also love how they end up as a group mainly because Cerberus decided kidnapping was a valid recruitment tactic.
If you met the heist crew in real life what would be your favorite & least favorite thing about them?
this was surprisingly hard for me! probably because they're all my babies lol

Least Favorite: Comes off as an asshole when he talks to strangers

Favorite: Charismatic and happy to chat about anything
Least Favorite: Looms over me and kinda makes me feel like prey
Charon
Favorite: Always carries snacks and wants to buy me a coffee upon meeting
Least Favorite: Has a mask of people pleasing socialite, can feel ingenuous and fake
Bones
Favorite: Incredibly caring, asks after how I'm doing and is happy to gossip with me
Least Favorite: Can come off as bossy sometimes, she's often under a lot of stress or in a rush, and will speak without thinking

Favorite: He's quietly sweet, and happy to listen to infodumps
Least Favorite: The smoke of his Zenne cigs. The smell is fine, but I'm not a fan of smoke in general
