1995 Plymouth Backpack
The 1995 Plymouth Backpack was a compact concept pickup unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show, designed by Tom Gale to reflect a youthful, future vision for the brand.
Built on the Dodge Neon platform with a 135 hp 2.0L engine, it combined car and truck features, offering 2+2 seating, a flexible interior with a small table, and a removable trunk that turned it into a micro pickup.
With elements like a built-in bike rack, it targeted active, tech-savvy young drivers. Despite its innovative design, the Backpack remained a concept and was never produced.
