I totally get having an unpredictable schedule that's demanding of another person under extenuating circumstances. For example, if you've got a chronic illness or work a crazy on-call job. And everyone has unexpected things come up sometimes.
The people who expect us to adjust our whole day around theirs bc they decided last minute that they didn't want to follow through with their own plans? The ones who have literally no excuse other than "Well I decided a little while ago that I wanted to go out to eat with my girlfriend instead." They get frustrated with us when we're like "Um no, we can't rearrange our whole day to meet you later just because you decided to go shopping for clothes 2 minutes before you were supposed to meet us."
Or how about independent workers who think being self-employed means you can back out of a job 15 minutes after you were supposed to be there and then just keep doing that because hey, you make your own rules, right? They don't really need you to fix the roof that's pouring a waterfall into the living room.
Or how about the "Yeah I'll stop by tomorrow to pick up this item you're selling" and them never showing up or texting again. This happens 90% of the time.
Why are so many people like this. As if they're the main character of the world and everyone else is just an NPC with quests for them that they can ignore after accepting.
