He didnât know why he had gone to the Northwests first to get the word out about what was to happen. He should have known they would just save themselves and keep the actual situation at hand hushed up.
Heâd hoped that, after the last time, they would know to just trust him on these things and do what he said. He had needed their social standing to tell everyone else what was going on in a timely manner.Â
Sure, Dipper had gotten a few people to evacuate. However, the people of Gravity Falls werenât all swayed by the words of a 13 year old. Even if they knew his history with this sort of thing.Â
He was upset, really, that they wouldnât believe him. That they said his imagination was just too big and nothing was going to happen.Â
The boy returned, sleep deprived (given that heâd spent the past almost 24 hours trying to evacuate the town to only get about a quarter of the people to actually choose to leave). He was reluctant to call it quits with his effort to evacuate... maybe he could raise the dead again and that would get them to leave...Â
No. That would just create more trouble for the people who stayed.
âOk. Iâm done. I canât make anyone else leave.â The words felt like poison on his tongue which he put there himself, ironically.Â
He had gotten a lot of people to wait at the border to the town in case something did happen, though-- so when everything went down as it was about to... he hoped they would run away quick enough.Â
