the holidays had come and gone as they always have. legosi decided to spend it by his lonesome, not wanting to bother others with their own affairs. it had been oddly comforting in a sense; remnant of his time spent at cherryton when the rest of the students had gone home for the winter break. though it was only a matter of time until the wolf had decided to venture out into the new year. a fresh start for new resolutions-- new goals to fulfill, and promises to keep to the friends he had made here thus far.
it seemed as though the mad ones above had decided to bestow upon him an unexpected gift. something, someone so precious to him... he almost wished it wasn’t real. for her to cross his path in such a world full of chaos, he wanted nothing more than for her to be safe. not that home was much safer than the island, but it was all he had left to passively protect her from the dangers that lay beneath the underbelly.
what a twisted little joke.
ears prick up in alarm when her scent wafts over him. legosi is able to recognize it immediately. a soft, delicate aroma; one he found solace in whenever they spent their time with one another. he didn’t think he would be able to find it here. but then again, fate has a funny way of making itself known.
“ h-... haru--? ” her name is choked out at a mere whisper. eyes scan their way through the crowd, widening when his gaze fell upon a pair of rabbit ears. “ haru-chan! ” he picks up the pace, desperately weaving through the crowd as he tried to reach her.
“ HARU-CHAN!! ”
