It was finally the start of summer break and what other fun way to start it than by going to the local pool with your friends? Once after you and your friends had picked up everything that you needed for this fun summer hangout from Target, you guys finally started to head out to drive to the local pool.
After you guys gathered your own personal pool bags that included such things as; tanning oil, sunscreen, drinks, and of course snacks and a pair of flip flops, you began walking into the gated pool and walking to the sign in area. As you and your friends were signing in you couldn’t help but notice the new lifeguard, the new AND cute lifeguard ! You had noticed his short brunette hair, the scattered moles on his face, and most importantly his deep brown eyes. “Hellooooo!! Earth to Y/N are you in there girl???” Your friend Vannah said, you quickly snapped out of whatever lala land you were in as you were staring at the cute lifeguard, but it seemed as you turned your head around to apologize and to sign the paper for staying at the pool you could’ve sworn you saw a particular brunette turn his head over to look at you.
After finally settling in your pool side chair and getting ready to apply your sunscreen before getting into the pool, you had a strange feeling of someone looking over at you, and like any other person would you perked up your head and started to look around the pool until your eyes had landed on the very same brunette boy, staring dead at you until he fully noticed you looking over at him and which he gave you a type of look and then snapped his head away to look far away from you. “Huh…” You thought to yourself as you started to apply the sunscreen to your arms, legs, hand, and other body parts.
It had been about an hour and a half as you and your fiends were still in the pool together just hanging out and talking about what other things you should do for the summer this year, but then you had realized it HAD been some good amount of time since you checked out- I mean LOOKED at the cute brunette lifeguard. So why not look over again? It couldn’t hurt to just look over… As you looked over to the lifeguard chair you saw him still up there doing his job and watching over the pool to make sure no dumb kids were running, or drowning, and just whatever kids shouldn’t do at the pool, and well as you were just staring at the lifeguard you hadn’t even noticed that he had looked over and you and him were full on making eye contact with each other, but to other people at the pool it had look like full on goo goo eyes as if they were watching a real life love movie unfold right in front of them.
Your eyes had widened a bit as you fully registered the situation and you starting to feel your face getting hotter and redder by the second, and well since you were in the direct sunlight it was pretty obvious from the brunette’s perspective that you were red in the face and all he could do was smile at you while chuckling to himself, and once he had noticed nobody was even looking he raised his hand up and gave you a quick wave which made you feel a bit better to the point that you gave him a quick smile before turning back around quickly to involve yourself in the conversation with your friends that you were supposed to be involved into in the first place.
Right before you had wanted to take another quick sneak peak at the cute lifeguard again you had noticed he was already replaced with some girl and which you sighed to yourself while reaching out for your drink only to realize that you had drank that whole drink to the very last drop. With having to excuse yourself from your friends to tell the you were going to the vending machine to go buy another drink you got out of the pool, walked over to go get your wallet from the pool bag and walk over to the vending machine filled with ice cold drinks.
As you were putting in your cash in the vending machine and going to press the *insert soda name* button you had realized that it wasn’t even working, and so you had just thought if you pressed it about 10 more times the drink should come out right?
“Um excuse me, but do you need some help with that?” A male’s voice from behind you called out, and as you were ready to put on your nice girl voice and bright smile getting ready to turn around, “Oh no thank yo-“ there he was. The cute lifeguard that you were caught at for staring about 5 million times already. “Here let me see… you were trying to get the *insert soda name* right?” “Oh!- Yeah yes I was but it won’t um come out…” “Don’t worry it’s not that it’s out it’s just that the button for it isn’t exactly working at the moment, a lifeguard just has to open it.” He said as he took out the vending machine’s key and unlocked the vending machine to grab the soda you had wanted and then closed it back up. “Here.” He said while handing you the soda, “Oh thank you um…” “Max.” “Thank you Max.” And then you guys kinda just stood there for a good hot second staring at each other before..
“So um this might come off weird but uh would you maybe like to go out some time?” Max asked and you had felt your heart skip a beat before nodding your head since you didn’t trust your words to get you anywhere since you would probably end up slipping up your words. “Well alright then, could I get your number…” “It’s Y/N…”
“Well can I get your number then Y/n?” You had smiled at him and nodded “Well you’re gonna need my number if you wanna take me out..” You said as you took out your phone and unlocking it before giving it to Max. As Max typed in his phone number into your phone and gave it back to you Max gave you a soft smile, “I’ll see you around then cutie” He said before giving you a cheeky wink, and you giggled softly at and then once you looked down at your phone you saw the name Max had given himself.
