3D TRACKING FINAL
3D TRACKING FINAL

Here is the final result of the 3D tracking!
3D OBJECT TRACKING
3D OBJECT TRACKING
___________________________
Although I have used the 3D tracker in Nuke a lot in boot camp, I haven't comped 3D geometry into a scene using the 3D workflow properly before; but I figured the same method I used for the 2D tracking could be applied to this exercise, so it wouldn't be too hard.
I first attempted the tracking exercise using a car model I found online and tracked it into the scene and the car stuck very well. However, while this demonstrated that I can track 3D geo into a shot, I was bothered by the fact that I couldn't find a texture map for the car to make the shot look realistic; so I decided to make another comp using a more complex shot. Using a spiralling-shot video I found on Pexels and a Lucy statue with textures, I used the same 3D tracking node to place the statue in the centre, used 2 3D light emitters to match the lighting of the video, and 2 colour grades to darken the statue slightly. To create the shadow of the statue, I used another copy of the texture map as the shadow base by sticking it onto a card, deformed the card to match the shot perspective, and adjusted the blackpoint and whitepoint to match the shadow intensity of the pillars as best as I could, then merged that under the statue.
Someone left there spray can behind and I can see why
love the colours and the wires on the walls.
Very cluttered really like it.

Heres a quick storyboard of what I have in my head for an idea at the moment.
New Idea
I want to create a small advertisement for the game cyberpunk 2077. My idea is to film someone walking down a narrow street and for the walls to be covered in neon lights. I would aim to create the neon lights withing cinema 4D and track them to buildings. I also aim to track a cyber netting enhancement to the face of the person walking down the street because in the game enhancements to the character exist.
Lying the style of flying here.
