The 3D workshop took place in the woodwork, metalwork and moulding and casting workshop and was a basic introduction to the areas and what they can offer. There was also laser cutters and 3D printers available. The main use of these workshops within photography is for prop or set making, and props such as rubber masks, metal jewellery, or items such as wooden frames and light boxes can be made here. This is a great advantage as the materials are fairly inexpensive as you do not have to pay for the labour as you do it yourself. Being able to do it by yourself also gives you a deeper connection to your work, as you have put more of your skill and time into completing it. In this workshop we made wooden door hangers, which showed us the basics of hand held drills, band saws, sanders and more.
