Lasting Performance for Coolskin Composites

Now nine years old, CoolSkin® technology has quite simply revolutionised both the panel door and timber-based composite door sectors, offering incredible levels of surface performance, whatever the weather.

Leading composite door pioneers such as Endurance® Doors and Solidor, specify CoolSkin® for the vast majority of their respective door colours and woodgrains, with the reassurance of a 10-year warranty and considerable testing across the climatic extremes of Europe.

The product harnesses a specialist VEKA substrate, along with a premium Cool Colors laminate foil from Hornschuch, one of Europe’s leading players in the sector. With exclusive trading relationships with both companies, the secret CoolSkin® recipe cannot be replicated by any other company in the sector, helping to preserve the technical foundations of the CoolSkin® development.

There are now eight different woodgrain finishes, along with nine solid colours and sheets can be mixed on rainbow pallets for ease of ordering. All of the laminate foils are a perfect replication of the foils used on PVCu window profiles, making for a far better finish, rather than having to rely on a poorly matching stained or embossed GRP skin.

NEW INTERACTIVE WEBSITE FROM 3D

CoolSkin® pioneer for the composite and panel door markets, 3D Laminates, has just launched a new interactive and fully responsive website at www.3d-laminates.com, which also includes details of their new VEKA substrate and the full VEKAPLAN sheet product range.

This new website includes several product videos, a number of downloads for the trade and consumer, along with a clever swatch selector, that allows users to click on product thumbnails of the CoolSkin® product range and see it accurately blown up on screen for the most exacting of detail. This includes 16 different woodgrains and 8 different colours and there are plans to expand this range as minimum ordering quantities come down.

The CoolSkin® product dominates the composite and panel door market in the UK and in Europe, thanks to the unique nature of the Hornschuch Cool Color foils which are exclusive to 3D Laminates. At the latter end of 2015, the decision was made to switch to VEKA for a better performing substrate which has undergone accelerated weather testing with excellent results with companies such as Endurance® Doors and Solidor big advocates of the product.
