One of my older designs, I was thinking of writing lore for it but not sure whether I should make it canonically a machine or living thing or maybe both.

So I made a thing I'm pretty proud of! I had Liam's design from last semester, so this semester all I had to do was model, skin, texture, rig, light, animate, simulate, render, AND compile everything you see here. (Though Advanced Skeleton provided the base rig that I built off of.)
Modeled in Zbrush, re-topo'd in 3D Coat, textured in Substance Painter and Photoshop, skinned/rigged/simmed/lit/animated in Maya with Arnold, rendered at Ringling College, compiled in Nuke, and edited in Premiere Pro.

One more asset left to build and texture! So close! I am going to be really happy and relieved when I am finished with this piece. It really is so old that the techniques and skills showing in the earlier parts is pretty poor, but I am too stubborn to shelve it - it's too close to the finish line!! (and no point going back to update the early parts as it really would be a total rebuild and re-texture!).
