La femme a le droit de monter sur l’échafaud ; elle doit avoir également celui de monter à la Tribune. Elle fut guillotinée en 1793.
- Place Olympe de Gouges. Playwright and political activist, she fought before and during the French revolution for the abolition of slavery and women's rights. She is best known for writing the Declaration of Rights of the Woman and the Female Citizen. A woman has the right to mount the scaffold; she must equally have the right to mount the rostrum. She was guillotined in 1793.
