door closes carefully behind her. she’d just finished seeing daryl, bringing him some breakfast. she was so ETERNALLY GRATEFUL to him for bringing back her baby. he almost DIED out there trying to get sophia back safely, which he did. until andrea SHOT HIM because he looked a mess. she’s so thankful he didn’t die, and that sophia was back alive and relatively unharmed. of course she’d been dehydrated, hungry, full of dirt as well as a few cuts and bruises, but she was ALIVE. carol could ask for nothing more.
she didn’t want to face that ever again. didn’t want to possibly LOSE the only thing that mattered most to her. it was scary, the idea of using a GUN, or any kind of weapon really. but it was clear they couldn’t depend on others forever. carol WANTED to be able to protect sophia, and though the girl was only twelve, it would probably be beneficial that she learn too. ❝ hey baby… ❞ hand smoothes over sandy colored hair. ❝ rick is organizing a training session today, you know… with guns. think we should go too… you okay with that? ❞
