Class representative of Kenji’s class and noted member of the Student Council, Katya is strict, uptight, unflappable, relentless when it comes to enforcing classroom conduct, and sees her academic performance as everything. There is one crack in her shell, though - get her unreasonably panicked and stressed out, and she snaps, melodramatically throwing off the glasses and yelling out loud about her “Cursed Eye of Tsukumono”, capable of forcing anyone who gazes into it to follow her command with absolute obedience! This, of course, doesn’t actually exist - see, Katya had a pretty bad Chuunibyou phase back in middle school and that’s one habit she hasn’t quite been able to break.

Though she’s supposed to be a dutiful shrine maiden, you’re much more likely to find the whimsical Merry out in town. A curious, excitable and carefree spirit, Merry grew up in the tiny, rural countryside, dreaming of the big city life a cousin of hers always spoke of. Having only just recently arrived in Hitodama, she’s enthralled by everything the big city has to offer - in particular, she’s in love with all the ramen shops everywhere! Yeah, she’s slacking off on her temple job, but they don’t seem to care anyway - and besides, with how suspiciously her head priest has been acting lately, Merry is starting to feel like maybe avoiding her job is a good thing.

Amelie is a girl who is obsessed with the idea of steamy romance. Meek and easily flustered, you can usually find this disaster bisexual reading some trashy romance light novel - doesn’t matter whether it’s straight, BL or yuri, fantasy or sci-fi, wholesome or toxic and trashy - and blushing at the steamy bits. She is also quite prone to mistaking social interactions as romantic advances… she can turn into an absolute blushing mess when that happens. Though, underneath that meek, blushing exterior, Amelie is actually super supportive and sweet, and totally ride-or-die for her friends, Francine the Yuki-Onna and Kuromi the Kage-Onna.
