I AM NEVER WORKING FOR THE FUCKING DAVIONS AGAIN
The Varangian Guard, my merc unit, missed the start of the Fourth Succession war because we were hunting pirates for the Taurians at the time, but really wanted to get some Fourth Succession War medals for my people, so we were pretty eager to get in on the action before things cooled down. We ended up taking on a Relief Duty contract on Necromo, covering the ass of some FedSuns regiment running from the Capellans - it was no fucking joke. Constant dropship raids, the worst environmental conditions I've ever seen, and our allies were truly green and useless. But at least, at least we'd be off there in four months with awards in hand and significantly richer. TELL ME WHY THESE FEDSUN BASTARDS ACTIVATED THEIR EMERGENCY CLAUSE THREE SEPARATE TIMES TO MORE THAN DOUBLE THE LENGTH OF OUR OBLIGATION?! WHAT DO I PAY MY GODDAMN ADMINS FOR IF THEY LEAVE THIS SHIT IN OUR CONTRACTS? THEY PROBABLY WOULD HAVE KEPT US THERE EVEN LONGER IF THE WAR HADN'T FUCKING ENDED WITH A MONTH STILL TO GO. absolutely gormless dickheads, tried to get out of giving us our ribbons too. I am really, really considering taking the MacCarronPill and working exclusively for the Liaos, not because I like them but because I now *despise* the Fedrats. "oh they treat their mercs honestly!"
