we are in the final arc of the aeor story. we know that. & when put in context, that's what the conversation is about immediately before and after matt says this. we're knee deep in aeor at this point, almost literally. and we all know we're nearly at the grand showdown of the arc. so i don't think we need to start jumping to the conclusion that he's actually talking about something else, when there's a much more plausible explanation right there
