          ‘  i  don’t  have  time  for  your  nonsense  tonight  ,  princess  .  ’    he  sighs  ,  the  stress  in  his  tone  evident  as  large  hands  come  to  rest  on  her  shoulders  .  a  sigh  passes  his  lips  ,  pressing  them  to  sonia’s  forehead  before  he  pulls  away  again  in  hopes  that’s  enough  attention  for  now  .    ‘  will  you  be  okay  ?  i  can’t  say  i’m  not  nervous  to  leave  you  alone  in  the  penthouse  all  by  yourself  .  are  you  going  to behave  for  me  ?    ’

      he waves at her friends as they ride off in their uber , leaving his ex standing on his porch . he knew moving back onto the west coast would open up a can of worms for them . “ this gonna be our thing now ? you get drunk with your friends and find yourself on my door step when you've figured out that you've had enough for the night ? ”

         ‘  oh  ,  don’t  look  at  me  like  that  .  he  was  bad  news  ,  i  did  you  a  favour  .  ’

“believe me, i won’t feel the same in the morning.”

      ‘  you’re  jokin’  right  ?  ’   colour  him  surprised  when  she  brings  her  boyfriend  up  ,  a  roll  of  his  eyes  as  he  only  pulls  her  closer  .  usually  when  people  find  out  they’re  in  relationships  they  stop  ,  though  miles  only  wants  to  prove  he’s  better  than  what’s - their - face  .   ‘  i  bet  it’s  not  like  it  is  with  us  .  ’    the  male  smirks  ,  hand  coming  under  her  shirt  to  gently  rub  the  soft  skin  of  her  waist  .

WE agreed on this. you don’t get to know me beyond that. ’ oaklynn was quick to cut the other off, pulling on her shirt, now veiling the scars that covered her back from their eyes. both of them had agreed on their terms that their personal lives were to be factored out of this DYNAMIC. the soldier rarely enjoyed the idea of sharing parts of her to those she kept close, there was no chance she would do the same for just some person she recently met. ‘ got it ? ’ dark depths scanning the floor, wondering where she had flung the rest of her clothing before all this had went down.
