It wasn’t as if Kabu was expecting to see people from his own region here. Nor was he expecting to see any Pokemon exploring about the city. It sure was different from what he was use to, but if one doesn’t try to adapt to the situation given, there is no way for them to move forward. Within this strange environment, that was what the Gym Leader plan on doing.
So when he walk towards one of the cafe that the younger kids seem to enjoy themselves, he never expect to have a Pikachu run under the tables and away from the crowd. Unable to help himself, Kabu walk right after it, just to see where it was going. Usually Pokemon would be swarming around back areas like this. Perhaps that where the little guy went off to. Able to catch up to him, Kabu look down to see it looking right back at him, it didn’t seem like it’ll take off any time soon.
“Color me impress. Heh, I wasn’t expecting a Pokemon to be wondering around here. With what I’ve been told, they never mention the fact that you or any other kind was here. Only... well, other things.” Kabu thought for a moment at what he was told before dismissing the thought. “What are you doing all the way back here anyway?”
