I'm thinking of putting ANAPHIA in orse code on the back of the telegrams rather than just leaving them plain. I feel like it gives a good little touch to it. The reason why i want to do this is because morse code revolutionized communication by assigning dots and dashes to letters, allowing messages to be sent over telegraph wires instantly. I feel like its relevant in this case.

Final product of my telegrams! I'm extremely happy with them, I used my first year Amazon paper cutter that I found at home to make the rough edges (i felt like it was needed for all of them. I also needed to stamp some and not others for inconsistency. I honestly printed way more than needed (maybe like 70?). More the better i guess.

Some process for my telegrams redesign!

During class, Paul introduced me to this amazing artist who created some prints for multiple Wes Anderson films: Annie Atkins. Her work has inspired me to redesign my telegrams into a more realistic print of old style telegrams. I am also taking inspo from her ''crime scene'' styled graphics.

I painted 5 paper boats in this piece. One for each year which I suffered with eating disorders. The boats float away from the harsh and violent waves of the waterfall. For me this indicates an escape. I splashed paint on the work using a paint brush, this adding texture and release as the motions of splashing the paint was very free and wide. This showing a reluctance to hide or stay small.
