I swear, you're going to see ten of these different Shu character sheets before I finish school. I'm always using this guy Here's Shu's character sheet for 2D production. Like usual, I had to tweek his design once again, and these changes aren't actually drastic. My professor wants me to make the wrappings define form. Ya know, make him look more 3D, and honestly I really like the change. It makes Shu a whole lot better. The only wrappings I did change is the one on his left leg just to help with form. I'm really glad that he liked the design to not change it so much

Please excuse the place holder music. I'll get it better when the film comes out This is the animatic for my 2D production short. I'm actually really excited about this and so is my professor. He just looked over the animatic and didn't have much to change. He really likes the story and he's completely fine with how long I have it. Plus he's really good at creating puppets so that will really help me when starting animation Things are looking good so far

This took forever to post because I was waiting for my professor to actually critique it, but after three days he still hasn't looked at this assignment so I might as well post it now while I can Welcome to the start of 2D production. In this class, I'm going to make a short film (roughly thirty seconds right now) with full animation, color, and sound. This assignment is all about the concept of it. I had to draw out a thumbnail that shows the whole idea of the film. Choosing the color was the one that really killed me in this assignment. It took a while for me to pick good colors, but luckily these thumbnails that you see are the "best" ones. The biggest one is the style guide that I'm going to use in this film, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Wish me luck, guys!

I’ve been posting a few things about this over the course of 10 weeks and I’m proud to present the finished product. This little short is for my 2D Production class and although I hit a few bumps along the way, I was able to produce a satisfactory result. I may go back later and add somethings I didn’t get to include due to time reasons. Anyway here it is!

 I decided to us warm colors instead of having a traditional green and brown forest by suggestion of my professor. He made a fair point to me that I gave some real thought to: “We’ve all seen green forests, this animation it doesn’t have to be realistic.” By making this decision, I addressed one of my biggest coloring concerns because I gave Mother Nature green hair so she looked more like a plant herself and I was concerned her hair would blend in too much with the layouts.

This is my final for my 2D Production animation. We had three months to work on it, and while this style is not the same as I normally work on, the project is finally done!. :D
