RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 - SWITCHING IT UP?

We’re all absolutely gagging for a Nintendo Direct, aren’t we? Gagging. The lack of Nintendo news and first party announcements has caused us Switch fans to become somewhat stale around expectation, and right now, anything at all is seen as a stimulus.

We should mention that there are big rumours of a Direct this week... YAY. However it’s also being said that there will be no focus at all on first party announcements... BOO. That was rather predictable wasn’t it. My reaction that is, not the rumour. With a fairly barren big release schedule outside of BOTW II, You’d think it’s the perfect time to confirm some new big hitters and reignite the spark. Sigh, it seems I’ll have to wait a hell of a lot longer for a surprise Mario Odyssey 2 announcement. 

Moving on, it looks like we’ll be getting our stimulants from third party announcements only this time around, and according to an insider, Red Dead Redemption 2 could be one of the stars of the show!

Journalist Nacho Requena was seen recently mentioning during a livestream that the Direct will feature a four year old game that has been available on other platforms for some time... Jeez, when you put it like that, it could be anything. It has however been rumoured for a while that a RDR2 Switch port has been in the works, so we’ll saddle up and sit patiently! For all may well be revealed this week.

As soon as more is announced on this fabled but very possible Nintendo Direct, we’ll be the first to tell you... Which believe it or not... Is NOW. No sooner have I finished up this blog, that an announcement has appeared to confirm the Direct will go out tomorrow 28th June! I choose to believe that my blog forced this into fruition. So, in a new development I’m off to do a Mario Odyssey 2 write up next.
