um... john tavares???? 4 goals in one game?? when he had the hattie by the end of the second, people were starting to wonder if he’s going to hit 50 goals this season. he needed 1 goal for every game left (6) but then he scored again in the third. it’s a very real possibility for him. the only person in the nhl right now with more goals than him is ovechkin but that’s fair.

now, marner is a legend. at least two of tavares’ goals tonight were off marner rebounds. he’s definitely the main reason tavares is having a career year, and don’t forget about hyman completely.

next, what about freddie anderson? he was not good tonight, at all really. he let in 5 goals on 36 shots, and he’s supposed to be a brick wall. if that issue isn’t fixed by the playoffs, toronto doesn’t have a chance.
